Vedic meditation and ice-bathing courses with Mirco, in Munich, Rottweil and online
Mirco's practice begins with a date he gives on his own pages: January 2016, when he started meditating every day. A freshly implanted pacemaker, he writes, held up a mirror to him at that time. Since early 2020 he has taught vedic meditation, and by his count he has shown hundreds of people between 8 and 80 how simple it can be.
The method uses a personally chosen mantra and is described as effortless: nothing to control, nothing to do well. His pages say he is one of few teachers worldwide who teach it in German. Courses run in small groups of no more than six, in Munich (at the Würzbar, with light ayurvedic food), in Rottweil, online, and privately. There is also a self-paced online course.
The cold came later. Mirco trained as an ice coach at the Intentional Cold Exposure Academy, founded by his teachers Dr. Josephine Worseck and Douwe van den Berg, and the pages call him an IHK-certified cold-exposure coach. The idea is cold as a tool for a chosen intention, not a dare. His workshops run in Munich and Rottweil, including an Isar cold plunge. A seven-hour day retreat at the Almbad Sillberghaus in Bayrischzell, at 1,100 metres, combines ice bathing and meditation.
For those who already know vedic or transcendental meditation, his Rounding Retreats run over several days. They combine gentle asanas, pranayama, deeper meditation, knowledge sessions and integration workshops, and are framed as a digital detox. Separately, he has accompanied the OpenGymMunich retreats in South Tyrol's Pustertal as meditation teacher. Those retreats, which the pages say mix functional training, yoga, meditation and wellness, are OpenGymMunich's own. He also appears at festivals, including the Wannda Circus Yoga Festival, and offers mentoring and company programs.
